1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PDFRise ("the Service") at https://pdfrise.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PDFRise is an API-based service that allows you to convert URLs and HTML content into PDF documents. The Service includes:

• RESTful API for PDF generation
• User dashboard for account management
• API key management
• Usage analytics and monitoring
• Technical support

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. Account Registration

4.1 Account Creation

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

4.2 Account Termination

• You may close your account at any time through your dashboard
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
• We may terminate inactive accounts after 90 days with prior notice

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Prohibited Content

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Convert or process illegal content
• Process content that infringes copyright or intellectual property rights
• Generate PDFs containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Process content that violates third-party privacy rights
• Convert hate speech, violent, or discriminatory content
• Generate spam or unsolicited commercial communications

5.2 Prohibited Activities

• Attempt to bypass API rate limits or credit system
• Reverse engineer or decompile the Service
• Use the Service for competitive analysis or to build competing products
• Share or resell your API keys
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service

6. API Usage and Credits

6.1 Credit System

• PDFs are generated using a credit-based system
• 1 credit = conversion of 5MB of content
• Credits never expire unless your account is closed
• Free tier includes 50 credits per month
• Additional credits must be purchased

6.2 Rate Limits

• Free accounts: 50 requests per hour
• Paid accounts: 500-5000 requests per hour (depending on plan)
• Enterprise: Custom rate limits available
• Rate limits may be adjusted for abuse prevention

7. Payment Terms

7.1 Pricing

• Current pricing is available at https://pdfrise.com/#pricing
• Prices are in USD unless otherwise specified
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

7.2 Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance
• Overage charges are billed at the end of each month
• All payments are processed through Razorpay
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

7.3 Refunds

• Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable
• We may issue refunds at our discretion for service outages exceeding 24 hours
• Unused credits are non-refundable upon account closure
• Contact us within 7 days for refund requests

8. Service Level and Availability

8.1 Service Availability

• We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
• We are not liable for third-party service failures

8.2 Support

• Free accounts: Email support (48-hour response time)
• Paid accounts: Priority email support (24-hour response time)
• Enterprise: Custom support SLA available
• Support hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM IST (excluding public holidays)

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 PDFRise IP

• PDFRise, our logo, and all related marks are our intellectual property
• The Service, including code, design, and functionality, is protected by copyright
• You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service

9.2 Your Content

• You retain all rights to content you submit for conversion
• You grant us a limited license to process your content for PDF generation
• We do not claim ownership of your generated PDFs
• We automatically delete generated PDFs after 24 hours

10. Data Privacy and Security

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Key points:

• We collect minimal personal data necessary to provide the Service
• We do not permanently store your submitted HTML/URLs
• Generated PDFs are automatically deleted after 24 hours
• All data transmission uses encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
• Payment information is processed by Razorpay

11. Warranties and Disclaimers

11.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Generated PDFs will be perfect or match your exact requirements
• The Service will meet all your specific needs
• All bugs will be corrected immediately

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PDFRise (Subham Jobanputra) from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Content you submit for conversion
• Your violation of applicable laws

14. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services:

• Razorpay for payment processing
• Cloud hosting providers for infrastructure
• Email service providers for communications

We are not responsible for these third-party services. Their use is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• We will notify you via email (for significant changes)
• We may post a notice on the website

Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

16. Termination

16.1 By You

• You may cancel your account at any time
• No refunds for partial months
• Data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
• Outstanding charges must be paid

16.2 By Us

We may terminate your account immediately if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in illegal activity
• You abuse the Service or our systems
• Your account is inactive for 90+ days (with warning)
• Payment fails repeatedly

17. Governing Law and Disputes

17.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, specifically the laws applicable in Karnataka state, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Before filing any legal claim:
